The 2026 Ontario provincial armwrestling championships were a success organized by the Askey family. During this event many new pullers made their mark and awards were given out to various pullers.

2026 Ontario Provincial Championship Awards & Achievements!

Youth Puller of the year was awarded to Sam Knowler and Iti Manchanda.

Female Puller of the year was awarded to Coutney Huycke.

Male Puller of the Year was awarded to Dave Hall.

King Georgie was awarded the Murray Park award.

Added to the Hall of Fame is Leduc Chantal & Dan Bellefeuille.

Promoter of the year was awarded to Joe Gould.

Additionally the OAA executive positions for president and treasurer were up for election this year. This resulted in Derek Askey replacing Jenny Radford as treasurer. Thank you Jenny for all the years of service to the OAA and keeping the OAA funding safe. Earl Wilson retained his position as President of the OAA, while Rebecca Gould was the only person to make a bid for the position.

In the months following the ontario provincial championships, Earl has decided to step down from the presidents position due to personal difficulties. Again thank you Earl for all your hard work in making positive changes to the OAA.

Since Earl stepped down from the presidents position the OAA executive made a unanimous decision/vote to ask Rebecca Gould to step in for the OAA president position. Rebecca accepted the position is now the current OAA president.

We are working towards adding OAA branded clothing to the website, as well as making changes and additions to awards for ontario armwrestlers to help make use of the OAA funding. Every year there are people asking what the OAA fee goes towards; this funding goes towards the OAA Awards, website upkeep, upfront costs for OAA clothing etc.
